I've been lusting over bookshelves on Pinterest for weeks! There are so many quirky and original ones, but as I soon found out through a little research, they may look beautiful but they're also pretty expensive and at the moment I'm not in the position where I want to spending a lot of money on a bookshelf!
My mum being my mum, decided a couple of weeks ago that she wanted to knock the wall between her bedroom and our study down and turn the study into a walk in wardrobe! That meant that everything in the study had to find a new home including this slightly boring bookcase.
I love maps so it felt natural to add maps to the back of the bookshelf almost like a wall paper. My bedroom walls are covered in vintage maps from the 50s and 60s, so added a map theme to my bookshelf would really make it fit in the room!
