Over the weekend I had my favourite person come to stay which is always fun. After a busy weekend by Sunday we were both in need for some fresh air and one of the best things about living in beautiful North Somerset is the variety of choice we have with so many country estates, parks and woods to visit all within a short drive.
Not far from my house is the beautiful Ashton Court Estate, an old country house set in acres of land, all free the public to visit.

When I was little I remembered being able to walk right up to the side of deer park and watch them through the fence. Now you can walk straight into the larger enclosure with the deer and get pretty close to them! So incredible. The larger males were fighting and although we were a good distance away from them it was still pretty scary to hear their antlers crashing together and them making that weird grunting noise that I only thought moose made.
Couldn't have asked for more autumnal colours!
