7 Weird Things I Saw in South East Asia

Sunday, 12 February 2017

Because sometimes South East Asia can be quite a weird and slightly wacky place to a Westerner - but isn't that why we love it and keep going back?

1. Durians. Need I say anymore? Smelly, weird looking and literally everywhere?!

2. Don't worry it's just a casual tub of fish.

3. Beautiful Balinese temples overran by sometimes friendly, and sometimes vicious monkeys!

 Aww so cute

 Aww so grumpy

3. Mannequins everywhere. Whole shops dedicated to scary mannequins.

For all your display needs. In Hue, Vietnam.

A discarded mannequin head in Hanoi, Vietnam.

3. A trend setting yellow dog in Hanoi. Fashion? Medical reasons? An accident?
We will never know!

4. Mother and daughter styles by the Vietnam fashion houses.

5. The Crazy House in Dalat Vietnam. Does what is says. The strangest place I've ever been, crazy is an understatement for this place! So worth a visit!

Deciding not to bother trying to work out what this was all about...

6. In one of the most populated continents in the world an entirely empty hotel and casino at the top a mountain.

The Thansur Bokor Highland Resort, Cambodia

7. Have you even been to Asia if you haven't seen a overloaded moped?

What were the weirdest things you saw in South East Asia?
